Francesca Coppa is Professor of English at Muhlenberg College and a founder of the Organization for Transformative Works (OTW), the nonprofit which built and runs the Archive of Our Own.  She writes in the fields of dramatic literature, performance studies, and fan studies, and is currently writing a book about fan music video. Her collection of transformative tales, The Fanfiction Reader: Folk Tales for the Digital Age (2017), was just published by the University of Michigan Press. She is a feminist and a passionate advocate of fair use.
